We had a box of small teddies that I'd bought as party bag stuffers for a "teddy bear's picnic" party. The teddies started disappearing! Then I caught the cat in the act - climbing up on the sideboard, dipping into the box with a net of claws, hooking a bear out then carrying it away to a dark corner to massacre and debowel!
